I don't know, as far as I can ascertain, it started getting used during Sonic Adventure [The original, for Dreamcast]. It was changed to Robotnik in the American version. Then Sega decided to call him both names after SA1, Eggman being the nickname and Robotnik his last name. I liked Robotnik better than Eggman, Why did they have to change it!<br><br>On a side note, Eggman's theme in Adventure 2 had the line "I am the Eggman" as part of it.

Flying fox style.<br><br>I got <i>Sonic Adventure: Director's Cut</i> for a seven-day rental and returned it in five. Basically it was half decent, half irritating, and ultimately too easy. Despite this, I was wooed by the "Player's Choice" mark on the box for <i>Sonic Heroes</i>. I now own it and consider it very good, at least as far as the platform action goes.
