I don't know, as far as I can ascertain, it started getting used during Sonic Adventure [The original, for Dreamcast]. I personally gave him a second name myself, but it wouldn't get past the censors <!--emo&:P--><img src='http://definecynical.mancubus.net/forum ... tongue.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tongue.gif' /><!--endemo-->

I liked Robotnik better than Eggman, Why did they have to change it!<br><br>On a side note, Eggman's theme in Adventure 2 had the line "I am the Eggman" as part of it.

Despite this, I was wooed by the "Player's Choice" mark on the box for <i>Sonic Heroes</i>. I now own it and consider it very good, at least as far as the platform action goes.
