Aple has some sort of hybrid sytem like that. It's a download sytem (you can also preview songs for free) and can by 2 or 3 copies of individual songs if you decide. I can't remember what it's called. I think that's a great alturnative to buying cd's (which I still do. I recianlty paid $80 for 5 of them.)
