DCS should've ended the comic a year or two ago.

I'm glad the chronology wasn't reset. I always had the feeling Ozy and Millie had known each other for years, which the original art kinda backs up - but with them drawn like that, it doesn't seem like they've been friends very long.

Well, we know if -- by whatever means it may happen -- the strip gets syndicated, there will be an excellent story to start it with if he's so inclined.

The first strip clicking the << arrow for the archives is Millie playing the cymbals and Ozy saying he keeps underestimating her.

Edit: Beatles references from day 1 too.

<SteveThePocket> Geez. I want more of this stuff now. Now I know how a horny guy on an imageboard feels.

I think David said somewhere that a lot of the early strips were not necessarily canonical. There are thirty-six strips in January 1998, and none till June, I remember David made some alterations or something to reflect the change. Especially when you notice that in the early days of June 1998 in the archives, Ozy seems to have just arrived and only recently met Millie.

June '98 is where the strip really begins, chronologically. All of those strips in January '98 are "early strips" done sometime during '98, before DCS had actually developed an archive.

after rechecking, it does say that Ozy was at a new school. it never says anything about their current relationship, he may have just been right outside the district and then the districts changed or something, and they had already known each other. maybe the day before, millie had been too busy writing dirty words with some rope.

I don't have that link.

They are basically "instant friends" Pretty much Millie was a reject, and so was Ozy. Anyways, I'm sure they had actually met before on Occasion, just a long time ago, considering that Llewellyn manor was right near the house, and Ms. Mudd's previous friendship with Llewellyn. I would presume that Ozy and Llewellyn had just been on a long-term trip that placed them somewhere else for a long time, and Millie didn't even realize that they had played together as todlers, or maybe it was before Ozy was adopted that was the last time Llewellyn was home.

I think Llewellyn is typically the type that would go on such a 7 year trip. (Ozy was around 1 year old when he was addopted, if you recall)
