Isolde's questions ought to grow well. She certainly has enough fertilizer on hand.

I just hope Isolde can make them grow well...

After all, she hasn't had a green thumb since she took that Mercury bath. ;)

It's a half-baked pun referring to the rolling of the letter 'r' in Spanish and other languages (as in the word zorro) and people rolling their eyes at the appallingly lame nature of my jokes.

I was running on way too little sleep. It stinks even if you do get it.

And the most horrible pun I have made in a foreign language:
Cuales son la gente mas limpias? Jaboneses.
It's a pun, roughly translated as "Which are the cleanest people?" And the response is a merging of the word for Japanese and soap.
It's been a while since I told the joke, so I don't remember if I phrased it right, but it drew smiles and many rolled eyes.

And my grandfather didn't just pass on the ability to make puns, he professes the complete art of the groaner.

You usually
have to take what people say
with a grain of salt.
(or in cases like
mine, a shaker or two may
yield the best result.)
