If he really was named 'van Llewellyn' then Llewellyn would have been a place name. Van means 'of' or 'from'. ;)
True. But I'm sure there's some English town with that name somewhere. Though that would imply that the Llewellyn family has Anglo-Dutch roots, like Shell.

I think we should conclude that there are a great many Llewellyn's who took on a variety of names to fool the mammals :smile:

Seeing as there've been multiple ones in the same strip, I think not :-P

Well, Llewellyn's ancestors are all dragons. Compared to, say, Ozy, they look so much more alike. The only ones that looked a lot different (that I remember) were Isolde's teacher, and Ped Xing.
