Imagined O&M arc

This morning, I started picturing an arc in which Avery acted flamboyantly gay -- not because he was really like that inside, but because he wanted to be like the "cool" gays on TV. After explaining as much to his fairweather friends, he hastened to point out that he wasn't about to hit on Ozy, to which Ozy wasn't sure how to respond. Ozy and Millie decided that while his attitude was quite preferable to the opposite extreme, it was still silly and perhaps cheapening to real gays. Even open ones rarely define themselves like that.
I was thinking of writing a dialog for this, but I'm not the one to do it. For one thing, I don't have enough exposure to such culture.
I'm also not sure how other playground attendees would react. Felicia might feel reassured that Avery wasn't going to ask her out, but she probably wouldn't consider him any cooler. And while it's easy to picture Jeremy giving him worse treatment than usual, it wouldn't be fun. I'd rather see Jeremy unsure what to do about someone who really did seem unabashedly gay. Maybe Avery could mock-flirt until Jeremy ran away to cope with his confused feelings alone.
