What happened to Lyndon?

He hasn't been seen since '97.

I always thought he was a one-gag (even though he appeared more than once) character. Having not appeared since the early days kinda proves it. Unless he returns anyway.
Also, this topic took me back. As I remember there was some talk wondering whether Lyndon would ever return way back in the first year of the forum.

I think one of the book anotations mentioned that since his job was to bring the outside world to Ozy and Millie he got replaced with Isolde. Also, bird flu.

I believe the bygone O&M mailing list had a poll on this, but I remember neither the options nor the plurality vote.
I like to think he's still alive somewhere, just occupied with people other than Ozy.
