Ozy <i>is</i> a fox, but what was he at the very beggining of the strip? Did he just change species in the middle of things? And why <i>isn't</i> he white in winter?

There was the one strip (can't find it this instant) where Ozy joked that he was a "reverse werewolf," suggeting that DCS thought him to be a wolf in the earlier years.

Actually, he changed species at the BEGINNING of things. When your character hasn't been widely seen yet, that's the perfect time to experiment with things character-wise. He was esentially "still in the womb.....mind."<br>And yes, he was a wolf. I don't know what species, but he WAS a wolf. Hmm, story-wise, d'ya suppose he was reincarnated as a fox kit? It IS the same mind, just a different body.<br>On an off-story, in my comic, I decided that I preferred the main character to have a little sister rather than a little brother... so I'm going to have a comic where the little boy gets a sex change operation. I know I could just change the character, considering I haven't even drawn any comics with him yet(except some sketched ones that may never get finished), but it's fun to add a sex change operation to a comic.<br>Now all I have to do is actually draw some comics.

That last line applies to me spamfish, oh and also get a site or keenspace account, and draw better, and learn something about web sites and a million other things. I'll just shut up now.

I think those *do* quite resemble Ozy from the looks of it, more than any other species I know.

I agree with DCS (and NHJ BV, apparently) in that Ozy resembles those arctic fox kits. He's much too dark for a platinum red fox (like my avatar).

Well, I've had a good look at some arctic fox pics, and though I have been unable to find one on which the right colours match with the right ears and things, I have found ones which have great features individually, so I couldn't disagree with him being arctic at all.
