Well, i don't think that O&M is really like that at all, aside from the meaningless fact (which is usually required to keep each strip somewhat self contained, even in the middle of a story arc)<br><br>I think that Mr. Simpson is like this though in a different way, in that <a href='http://www.ozyandmillie.net/2002/om20020215.html' target='_blank'>he doesn't take himself too seriously</a>.

Now who does that guy think he is? I don't find anything wrong with that particular format. Only when nothing original or inspired is added to the much-used method to make it a strip of it's own can the term "clich" can begin to be used. Ozy & Millie breaths a light into the popular format that makes it shine far more brighter than can be done by mocking it.
