Well, I got mine from Tavis, who made it from an O&M strip, so Tavis really takes full blame for any infringement that I may be guilty of. He pirated the material first, so he's guilty of distributing stolen merchandise, I'm just an innocent pawn in his evil game. Shame on you Tavis, shame.

It was one time, and it sucked, no body even looks in the Yahoo groups section anyhow.

Hey, I at least tried to edit it. The original was not animated, and I gave full credit of the originals to Simpson.

See for yourself.. Hmm.. I really need to add links to the originals for those stills.

By the way, the bottom of virtually every archive page on the site also says:

Quote: (DCS @ O&M Archives)

I suppose you can redistribute these if you really want to, but don't sell 'em.

was that always there? i don't remember seeing that beforehand. I saw it recently, but had seen the message under the strips waaaay beforehand, and had gotten the impresion that we weren'treally doing anything wrong because all credit was given to simpson. Probably best to ask though, as mentioned before.
If you've done things right, people won't be sure if you've done anything at all.
Well, it is best to ask, but do we actually think he is going to have any qualms with it?

I mean, we aren't doing anything malicious, and to go against the editing that we do would be to distance himself from and kill the community..

How rare!

I'd doubt he would care if we use them as avatars. I did edit mine though, because there was a bush on the right of the panel. I simply copied some of the white background over it.

You're not supposed to say that!
It is my belief that MR. Simpson has said that he dosn't mind other people using the art as long as they give credit and don't profit off of it. I don't know where BSP got that quote. I don't see therfore anything wrong with what we're doing for dispite not crediting Simpson evrytime we use somethng I think it's prety obvious from the site where we get the stuff.

Also to cleer up a point even if you edit it like you have it still is property of DC Simpson. Editing it to the little degee you have dosn't change that fact as presidant can show. However with his permision that I he gave and to my knowledge not brought back it is fine anyways. He still owns all the rights to your aviators though. Fan art is questionable as can be said is Free Speach and an alagory (however a strech it may be) but the copied and soemtimes sparcly aalterd images/animations remain property of DC Simpson. As well as Cigans colorings too I'm afraid.
