I also echo the sentiment in this strip, ands its verbose description! not much more can be said... exept, if i heard someone say what millie did... i'd probably do the same thing ozy did!<br>"I, for instance, am going to stand way over there."<br>*laughing lightly for a second* <br>this is just one of those strips you can't help but laugh at...

<a href='http://www.ozyandmillie.org/2003/om20031201.html' target='_blank'>Sock it to 'em</a><br><br>Yeah, I'm sure a great many of us have this feeling in general. We like everyone as a whole and wish everyone well, but then we meet the people among us that make us want to whip out our socks of vengeance, or something along those lines. Of course, I am equally sure that I've irritated the heck out of my share of individuals, so it's fair.<br><br>Y'know, I forgot about this application of socks when it seemed a big topic here earlier, but should it come to that, "I, for instance, am going to stand way over here" until y'all get distracted with aluminum foil or ceiling tiles or something.. unless it looks like fun.<br><br>Oddly enough, I don't think this strip explains all that much except simply another observation that contributes to what we know of DC Simpson.

Hey, it's the 3/24 strip. 3/24 is my birthday. Cool.

Well then, it's like that strip is a present.

I completely agree with this sentiment. I am a firefighter, and we spend much of our time helping people. Which seems like a pretty worthy thing to do, until you actually meet some of the people in my city. Kinda makes you wonder why you'd risk your life for them. I think it's pretty common to wish for good things for the masses, but want to strangle certain individuals (or hit them with a sock full of change).

I sorta feel the opposite, I don't like humans in general but if I meet a person and get to know them I don't hate them.

I'm realy mixed up on it. I hat hunmanity as a species but I like people in gerneral. There are a few people who I hate (maybe only one I don't realy know) and there are a few (more) people I like. Indeivudaly people I make individual decisions but in general in princable I like them but as a whole I detest humanity.

My friends tell me that I hate everyone and everything. That's not <i>quite</i> true. <!--emo&:P--><img src='http://definecynical.mancubus.net/forum ... tongue.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tongue.gif' /><!--endemo--> <br><br>People as a whole do have a tendency to make me pro-nuclear, but I do like various individual people.

This was exatcly how i felt and when i saw the strip for the first time it was doubly great. It's always good when the charatcers of a comic say what you feel.<br><br>There's a John Lennon song in which a line is very appropiate to this topic;<br>"You want to save humanity, but it's people that you just can't stand."<br>Oh and i guess Sartre's "hell is other people" line fits somewhere in here too.

Yeah, it does that.<br>I agreed with it when I read it but when I thought about it I found I was the opposite.
