In order to function as a video game, the game would have to be too far removed from the nature of the comic. Offhand, the only successful transitions are from comics that already have a deal of action, most of them comic <i>books</i> rather than strips. (I wonder how the Bone game will turn out.)<br><br>As for the TV show, if DCS has the attention span to write enough 10-minute episodes, I could dig my batty persona showing up as long as I wasn't supposed to be an obstacle.

I really don't want either. Their voices are in my head, and anything would be a dissapointment. You can't capture the magic of static media in the moving. <br><br>Even though Lord of the Rings was pretty nifty, it was <b>nothing</b> on the book. I'm not a fan, but I assume the same is true of Harry Potter too?<br><br>Just look at *shudder* Garfield to see how bad it can be. Not that Garfield was any good as a cartoon anyways. Stupid fat gimp.

Just because the vast majority of current mainstreme games are... Umm... Heavially violent, heavially combat orientated, etc. (or sport sims. Which are worse), surely titles like Animal Crossing, Harvest Moon, even The Sims, Sim City and The Movies, show that games don't have to be of that nature to work as games. Also the 2d Sonic titles, Yoshi's Touch & Go, Kirby's Canvas Curse, Klonoa 2, etc... Show that there's a market for traditional style games we were playing on the Nes, c64 and Spectrum? (by which I mean Manic Minor, the entire dizzy series (check it out if you've never heard of that series - aside from the last and worst (oddly it was the montage of all the other ones, essentially) it didn't get outside of Europe to my knowledge), Flimbo's Quest, Head over Heels, etc)<br><br>As for a tv show I could see it working akin to how the Charley Brown and Snoopy Show worked. A thirty minute show (well, 25 minutes ignoring commercials) consisting of six or seven very short sketches based upon the original comics.<br><br>Not sure which I'd prefer to be honest. If done right, a videogame would be rather nice. Equally, done right, a cartoon series would also be nice. As would audio drama.<br><br>...Whatever happened to that project, anyway?

One dosn;t imediatly come to mind but I'm sure there is a way to make a vedio game basson on O&M. I think a RGP type game coudl work rather well if done properly.<br><br>I had the idea to make a munchkin like O&M card game. Diferent players woudl interact trhough the playign of cards in order to achive various points that are assoiated with that cahracter. I didn't go that far with this realy.<br><br>A TV show coudl work if doen properly. We've had discusion on this before. Some popel have even done voices for some of the characters.<br><br>There are preivous threads that discuss this.
