Llewellyn and the other dragons are well known for being creatures of conspiracy. But...let me ask one thing...

Renthisj *darastrix*? (Do they speak Draconic?)

That, ladies and gentlefurres, is a sample of the Draconic language from Dungeons and Dragons as seen in the Draconomicon. (Or rather, pidgin Draconic. The literal translation of that is "speak dragon".)

I mean, think about it...that would make perfect sense, even in the reality of Ozzy and Millie. With a language no one knows except THEM, they could carry out their conspiracies without anyone knowing the better. Plus...they do seem to retain some of the mystical qualities of their swords and sorcery era bretherin.

So...I now open this string to discussion. Do you think the dragons of O&M use a language all their own? If so, and if not the Draconic language sampled above, what language would they use?

if they did that, wouldn't Ozy and Millie bark and stuff to each other sometimes? woah... that'd be freaky! an entire strip of them having a conversation like in normal strips, but it's all *woof* and *arf*

Too complicated. This isn't really the sort of strip for that sort of stuff (which is good).

Plus, it might not make complete sense, as D&D exists within the O&M reality. So you would have a complete fiction penetrating through the reality of a different fiction. If that makes any sense.

But who knows? Maybe they speak it when they're plotting conspiracies in a dark, smoky back room.

Or maybe they just plan all their conspiracies in pig latin.

Maybe they speak Draconic in pig latin.

But I'm glad Ozy and Millie isn't so complicated in some areas, as some adventure strips can be.
