Ozy and Millie aging?

Hi all, <br><br> I'm new to these forums (and to O&M). A good friend pointed me to the strip a few days ago, and I've managed to read every strip available in the archives in the intervening period. While I enjoyed the strip immensely, I did have one question -- are Ozy and Millie getting older? It seemed to me that they were initially 8 years old and become 10 year olds at some point, and they do seem to have lived through several Christmases, but they don't appear to have been aging at a normal rate. I just ask because I was pondering the interesting material that the strip might explore if it were to be able to talk about the social issues and character development involved in transitioning to middle school or high school. <br><br>Thanks.

basically, Simpson only aged them because he began to draw them in a more complex way, and they were taller, and he changed it to 10. He doesn't plan on them aging any more.

There are other topics you might be interested in seeing on this subject; you just have to look around. As you can imagine, there was some buzz associated with that.

Ozy with pants....still seems strange....since he isn't used to wearing pants....(ugh... tried to find the strip where he says that, but couldn't....)

I've wondered about their aging too.<br>Personally, I'd like it if they aged at one quarter the rate of humans.
