These were posted on the Ozy and Millie main page today, but they seemed important enough for an announcement here.

D.C. Simpson has announced on the news page that he will be increasing the amount of strips.

Quote: (Ozy and Millie News page)

I also have an announcement: this may be folly, but I'm upping O&M's production schedule, starting on the first Monday of the year. I'm going to push O&M to five days a week, and "I Drew This" to three. The sheer number of cartoons I'm going to be drawing every week may prove staggering, but, hey, if I'm going to be a professional, I'd best be prepared to be prolific. It'll either work out or not. But I'm going to try it.

Also, there are some copies of books 1, 2, 4 and 5 at Plan Nine's Scratch & Dent sale at half price. The announcement:

Quote: (Ozy and Millie News page)

If you're interested in acquiring one of the Ozy and Millie books, but are poor and/or intimidated by perfection, you may want to check out the Plan Nine Publishing Scratch and Dent Sale. There are damaged/misprinted, but perfectly readable (I assume--I've not actually seen them myself) copies of four of the five books available.

And while I'm on the subject of Plan Nine, I'd like to mention that they are currently out of stock on Book 3. Just in case you wanted to know.

Plus the new book 3 printing was delayed by the fact that Plan 9 asked me to re-send the book 3 files, because of some problem with one of their hard drives, two days after I'd gone home for the holidays and was thus away from my files.

Fortunately I was eventually able to get the files to them, and hopefully "Ink and White Space" (still my favorite O&M title) will be back in stock soon.

Wow...now I'll have to obsessively watch the site not three but five times a week

I guessed this thread was saying that the O&M books would be availible at Half Price Books. I'm on dialup so I have plenty of time to consider what a thread will be before it loads.

Anyhoo.

Five days a week is definitely good news. Now I will waste 67% more time reading comics on this site!

Awesomeness! Sheer Awesomeness. I don't think words can describe it right now, so you're just left with the biggest of grins right now

Now my withdrawl won't be so bad since I'll be able to see a new O&M every day.

It's rather a shame book 3 most likely contains some of my favorite strips, too. I already had to wait 2 months before getting 1 2 4 and 5, but I suppose I can just wait a bit longer.

Well DC, I look forward to this year of comics. I enjoy both Ozy and Millie and I Drew This very much. Just don't stress out over deadlines and you'll do just fine, I'm certain. Good luck!

Book 3 is the only book I own, and I like the cover of it more than the other books (dunno why).

Looking forward to an upped dose of O&M, oh yes.

Now that you used the term upped dose, I am now visualising a vat of O&M strips being fed directly into my bloodstream through an IV. Painful, yet it almost makes sense.
