David has decided, that due to the results of last night's presdential election, he shall no longer live in the United States.

I'm sure this comes as a blow to many of us, me in particular, because I, for one, always, and for many years, turned to both him and his works for a renewed sense of comfort and resolve in times of trouble and conflict.

I will admit, when I learned that Bush had won a second term as president, I too was shocked, angered and saddened. But, after a few short hours of sharing words with friends and family, and reading words of encouragement from what I feel to be men and women wiser and stronger in spirit then I, I found myself with a renewed sense of hope and purpose.

I don't think I shall so easily be comforted from this.

I sincerely wish that there was something I could do or say to make David change his mind, but he has made clear to me that his mind is made up in regards to the matter, and that he shall not be deterred.

And so, in closing, although some harsh words were exchanged between he and I, I hope that he shall believe me, should he happen read this entry, when I say I hope that, whatever course his life may take, he shall find only happiness and good health. I express this sentiment with a wishful greeting that he had so often wished upon me.

Peace, Love and Empathy

-Gabriel C. Gentile

I seriously hope he's jut over reacting here... well, no offence, he is overreacting, but i mean I hope he's not serious.

There is no way on this world that our government will let bush get away with anything like that of what he did during his first term. People have wised up a good bit, and are going to keep a muchy closer eye on what bush is doing. As bad as bush is, he isn't the worst presedint we've ever had. Frankly, i would prefer nader in office compared to the two jokers that were the main candidates, but unfortunatly that wasn't a realistic alternative. Once again, there is no way the people of america will let bush get away with anymore bull in the upcoming term.

I will say these past four years did show me that it does matter who is in office, and that made a big differance in the way i view politics. Thats the positive i'll tke from the last four years.

Also, i'd like to point out i think that it was mainly the 'older' generation that voted for bush. Most younger generation people wanted him out of the office, from what i can tell. Well... whatever, the last four years can't be as bad as the last *crosses fingers*

and THAT is all I have to say on politics.
If you've done things right, people won't be sure if you've done anything at all.

Hmm, quite a shocker.

I'm not exactly fired up about 4 more years of Bush either.

In fact, I very much dislike the election-stealer. Any predictions as to how screwed we'll all be 4 years from now?

Loyalty above all else except integrity.

This bothers me, and I do not approve of his decision. However, it's not my place to decide his actions. If that is truly what he believes he should do, then so be it.

It bothers me that he would leave his state because of an election, but more important than loyalty is integrity. So long as he remains true to himself, that is to say, so long as he is leaving because he believes he must and not out of anger or desire for attention, I won't look down on him.
