Ive noticed that most (if not all) O&M characters only seem to have one parent. Please, correct me if I'm wrong - I know I have been many times before regarding O&M)

Stephan - his dad
Avery+Timulty - their mum
Ozy - Llewellyn
Millie - OK so shes got Locke but that doesn't really count seeing as hes not "on the scene" (and fair play too, he's only ten and not getting any older)

Jeremy, even, still only has his dad.

It was just something I noticed and wondered if anyone else had noticed too.

I have noticed but we have yet to gain any knowledge on whether or not Jeremy or Stephan had a mom or if Avery & Timulty have a dad.

I do however believe that Stephan only has a dad because their is a whole series were he runs away and his mother never mentioned with the passable exception of the word family for Isolde

I could swear I read somewhere, someone mentioning Avery's "parents" or his "dad"...but I could be wrong. As for why he didn't show up at the PTA meeting, maybe he was working or just off-panel.

Avery does have a dad, as mentioned in <a href='

Good find, Zaaphod. See, this is why I need to get the books. And infinitely more free time. <img src='

It seems that most children in comics and cartoons have one parent. I dunno why, though.

And Isolde does have a mom and a dad. A dad who is cuckoo. <img src='

hmmm i was passing time and reading random strips from the books. I think Avery's father is also mentioned in the one strip where he's looking through an old yearbook talking about how funny they looked. I could be wrong though.
