In fact, I see growing up as a great oppertunity, rather, for character development and good puns.

In fact a future-placed strip may even be a great oppertunity to "tease" fans about an uncoming strip that has yet to take place in the current timeline.

Although I've been known to write random parragraphs that make me go 'wow, wish I could come up with an actual piece of fiction to fit that into O_o;'. The only things that my writing for isn't organic in nature is a pokemon fan-fic that I've planned the plot of ahead (something else I don't normally do. I'm a 'lets start here and see where we go' sort of writer), and a pokemon... something... fiction that I decided exactly what was going to happen, and just wrote a monologue between the start of the fic and the closing fic, stopping writing after a certain amount of time to the letter... Which by coincidence was a complete sentence, kinda ruining the effect I was going for, but it worked.

I've never actually heard of the 'decide where you end and fill in the blanks' method, incidently. I know of the three column method, one for plan, one for what you've written, one with notes on what you've done that wasn't in the plan which would need forshadowing added earlier...

*shrugs*

It's just a different style of writing I've heard of. It wouldn't surprise me if I met another wirter like that. I just heard that sometimes when writing a story, writers write because they have a certain scene they really want to do.

I should know. I like to toy around with writing myself. But like you, I have a different style. I don't write like either. I said only said 'sometimes'.

True, true. Actually thinking about it I once tried writing like that. Failed misreably. Had a good opening scene though, in my view. Wonder if it's still on Etna...
