well, no matter what your opinion on the movie, there is one thing missing...

a THEME SONG

what do you think would be a theme song worthy of Ozy and Millie?

... hadn't thought of that one...
......
......
...... I don't know if it would truly need a theme. As themes go, there mainly used to keep somethign consistant throughout the movie musicaly, or as an identifier for a show. If you used the same type of genre throughout the movie, you wouldn't neccisarily need a theme. That way, if another variation of that movie, such as a thanksgiving special to a halloween special, it could follow the atmosphere of the movie instead of a defined themed intro.
If you've done things right, people won't be sure if you've done anything at all.

Being the mind behind Ozy and Millie, I'd imagine David Simpson would know what song would be best to set the mood for the film. But I have little clue what it would be.

Just my opinion. I can see that working for an opening sequence sorta deal.

Think so? I dunno, a grand sweeping shot of Seattle, gradually moving out to the suburbs...meh, my mental image can't be adequately described. But I think it might work.

EDIT: There are a couple O&M strips that ran during the original art style phase that always stuck in my mind. One featured Ozy and Millie dancing to "Smells Like Teen Spirit", and the other involved Millie singing "Come as You Are". Ordinarily I'd dig through the archives and find 'em, but not on 56K. No way. I'll get them when I'm back on campus. Those two strips are enough for me to stand staunchly behind my proposal. Do it for the children, who obviously have a fine appreciation of Nirvana.

Okay; weirdest dream last night. There was an Ozy and Millie cartoon show on Cartoon Network, but Millie wasn't there at all and Ozy... well... he had the personna of, well, it wasn't Roger Rabit, but it was like that one goofy rabit on Loony Toons that was like an early Bugs Bunny. It was weird. Sorry to have put such a disturbing image in your mind.

And in response to BSP:
Your song suggestion might work. It's got the feel. But it kinda' reminds me of a videogame soundtrack. Is that what it is?

It's probably just me, but personally, I can't help but listen to this particular bit o' musical madness whenever I'm reading O&M.

Oh, that place.
I heard some of the song from the part that's been buffered, I'd say it matches it quite well, I can imagine Ozy playing the guitar and Millie away on that Harmonica and then a bunch of the others come in with those trumpets and because Millie's stopped playing the harmonica she'd pull in a pianoi and start playing that or whatever, I dunno, it matches really well.
I'd say mine is more of a Peanuts feel though.

And to you, Dr. Fred, that song is my song, MINE, but I could use it in a game since I can make them as well.
An Ozy and Millie game...
Hmmm.....
