Any of you who are artists, which is quite a few of you, will surely understand what it's like having to look at something you drew years ago and think about all the ways you wouldn't draw it that way now.

(This is, incidentally, why I've never drawn my own cutie mark.)

The decision, of course, is not mine to make, but I would probably hang out here more if the logo didn't make me wince. :)

*leads forumites in a "WE LIKE THE NEW DRAWING!!! BRING ON THE CHANGE!!!" chant*

Plus, it's DCS's forum, after all.
gforce422 is awesome because:
-He made the absolute nicest comments about me in the other topic. I didn't respond to them yet, because I suck, but they are greatly appreciated! =D
-I would say he would also be a good runner up as one of the nicest people alive.
-He joined the IRC sometimes. But not enough, I say! Chat moar =D
-He is evidently only 18 year old but he could easily pass for 25. =D
-He is a drummer like *I* am and this in itself is cool.

Naw. The forum absolutely belongs to you guys. My job is just to give you a conversational launching point. :)

Of course, the final say lies with Jason. But it looks like he'll change it, and it will take a few hour's work.

Waiting for the moment to arrive...

I love how last time a new version was made, I was the only one in favor of using it on this site, and this time only maybe one person professes to prefer the old version. </sarcasm>

But more to the point, DCS, are you planning to update the store products that use this image too? Because I do have one suggestion if you are: I personally preferred the large-print caption to the speech balloon. Somehow I've always felt speech balloons don't work so well on shirts (and are harder to read from a distance, anyway). But I do agree with the shift from front-and-back to front-only. So maybe a two-line caption under the image. *shrugs* I don't know much about graphic design, but I know what looks right to me.

Well, everyone but you was wrong. It does happen! If I've learned one thing, it's that just because people don't warm instantly to a new idea doesn't mean they won't prefer it when they've gotten used to it.

And the new version is definitely much better. I say this as the person who drew both of them.

Maybe I should, yes. And if I do, I'll take your advice because on this particular aesthetic matter I think I agree with you.

sheesh, with this kinda of reply I'm half surprised that it has not changed yet. I like the new one better myself as well.

Here's a nice start. O&M with transparent edges.

It was a lot easier with the TIF since that has razor sharp edges (one flood fill did 99% of the work this time).
