what do you think would make some really nifty
i... dunno....
that could work... that could bomb..... ouch, my brain is begining to hurt thinking about what this could lead too.

ok, not literally, but... I don't know if it would work as well if ozy's bioligical parents were still alive. If they had been involved in a car accident or something, and ozy was eventually taken to see there graves... a lot of good philosophical points on life and death could come out of that. That is a topic so far left untouched in the world of O&M, mainly because i guessits hard to make a joke out of that.

ok, i could see something that would work, and keep most of the humor in tact, but as said earlier, it would make it less likely that simpson would do something along those lines if he saw us post about it here in detail.

granted, he has been known to take some suggestions, mainly when asked "Why haven't you done a comic on such and such, or so and so?" At least according to his essays/rants, anyway.
If you've done things right, people won't be sure if you've done anything at all.

One reason I like the strip is because of its simplicity, its altogether lack of drama.

True about the parent thing: it'd be hard to pull it off just right.

What if Llewellyn suddenly felt concerned that as Ozy's father, he might be warping Ozy with an unbalanced parentage and decided to acted motherly towards him? It does seem to be a strange enough yet balancing thing to do that I wouldn't put it past him.. Then again, I doubt Ms. Mudd would go along too well with that.

Oh, I got a really good one to replace the one where Timulty proves the "You can pick your nose but you can't pick your relatives" thing.

Firstly, Tim is trying to get his hand near Avery's face but Avery blocks it and asks what he's trying to do.
Then Timulty says that the saying is true, "You can pick your nose but you can't pick your relative's."

Notice what the apostrophie does?

I like how the strip isn't a soap opera or adventure that fades in and out of complex storylines. But i'd have to say that the strip does have drama, in its own terms and still manages to be simple at its foundations.
I never liked the idea (i thought i was going to get flamed actually) and the several posts by other members have convinced me further.

Speaking of Avery's parents, there's only been one strip that featured one of them. It'd be interesting to see them in more strips.

theres one I know is gonna happen eventually, but I don't wanna post it in case Mr. Simpson goes "oh, crud, they thought of that, now I can't do it!"

yes, I know it's a stupid fear, just like my other stupid fear of the chat button.

in other words: BUMP!
