Would Locke's genes come into play sometime during her life? (I know it's a moot point, but I just like to argue...)

Huh. I always thought that if you were in the "real" world, you age forward, but if you step into the fantasy world, you age backwards, no matter where you were born or who your parents were. Two different demensions = two different types of aging.

But.. if you think about it.. when people get old they get shorter. And they lose their hair. So you'd be giving birth to a hunched, wrinkly, bald thing. Which is pretty much what newborns are anyways. These would just be... bigger?

Grr! I hate it when people assume all old people get shorter! no hostility to yourself, Allison!

people get smaller because they have Osteospirosis, where their bones don't get enough calcium. so, their bones just kind of smush and get smaller.

It's a bit more complicated than that. IIRC, as people reach a certain age, the cartilidge in their vertabre starts to degrade, essentially "shrinking" their backbone. This may have something to do with telomeres, but I'm not sure. IIRC, this happens earlier in life to people with less telomeres, as genetic information is actually being lost during cell division and the cells cannot divide properly.
