http://www.deviantart.com/view/8077210/

I know it looks like total junk, but it's my first sketch of the two and I need some input on where I might be screwing up on drawing these (comparing to DCS's comics, they just don't look right).

Your first one is always gonna be a cross between scribble and lines, that's how everyone starts out.
If you keep at it you'll be just as good as DCS, Foxchild is a good example.

Lol, cute and witty lines there... obviously, room for improvement on the drawing, but all in all pretty good for your first! Do more and you'll get used to it in no time.

I did a quickie one with Locke as Link as a test to see how well I could do Locke.

http://www.deviantart.com/view/8180229/

I think I did somewhat good with Locke, I ended up having to redo everything else in the pic via. paint.

I have the urge to play the old Zelda games again.

Very cool, although try to do Locke from the front and see how that turns out.

After doing that last one, one has to wonder how DCS doesn't get hand cramps from doing that lettering style.
