Would Ozy marry Millie in the future?
Thanks everyone! That's a better response than expected.
I designed Michael as a fox / kangaroo hybrid for my comic a long time back. The idea of him being an ordinary kangaroo just never worked for me.
Above all, I hope this is in-keeping with Millie's personality. I haven't seen any indication that she's been given the birds & bees talk so this is more or less how I'd imagine she'd react (the strip of Millie in the supermarket with her mother is one of my all-time favourites).
Even at this young age children DO often talk of marriage, completely innocent of the physical bonding. They usually just see it as the way two close friends will stay friends forever. For myself I have a difficult time immagining Ozy & Millie ever going separate ways to marry anyone else.

I believe there used to be a forumite here called Dragonfox. Too bad he's not around to see this. (His avatar didn't show an obvious hybrid.)
But would Ms. Mudd really have let Millie reach age 10 without having "the Talk"? It seems uncharacteristically old-fashioned and irresponsible. Maybe Millie's just being forgetful. That I could see.
It was a long time before I knew what "the birds and the bees" meant. My parents were more straightforward, and nobody had told me the exact analogy.

I didn't have the talk until I was 12. But I found out about all of the contents of the talk from all my friends by the time I was 8.
Who sleeps shall awake, greeting the shadows from the sun
Who sleeps shall awake, looking through the window of our lives
Waiting for the moment to arrive...
Show us the silence in the rise,
So that we may someday understand...

Well, Ms. Mudd might be afraid of how Millie would react to that knowlage. On the other hand they seem mature enough to know about it. But take note of how many times they've seen eachother in the fur and even in the "pink" when the curse strikes, they don't react much if at all.But would Ms. Mudd really have let Millie reach age 10 without having "the Talk"? Alas... so much for my picture attempt to redirect the thread.Well, Ms. Mudd might be afraid of how Millie would react to that knowlage. On the other hand they seem mature enough to know about it. However these are valid questions.
I can't use my own childhood as an example. I was a bookworm and around the age of 12 I simply referenced the dictionary for the word "virgin" because one of the school idiots had been shouting it at lunchtime. About three years later my mother said there was an immportant book she needed me to read...

Ozy is definitely mature enough to know the facts of life... but do you think he'd gain an understanding from his father's "Zen book on why there are big animals and little animals." ?

Now Millie... proof that the claim girls mature faster than boys is a generalisation not a certainty. She travelled to the museum dissapointed that she couldn't acquire mutant super powers from the interactive toxic waste exhibit. She might well have been given the talk by her mother, and I'm sure Ms Mudd would have been very direct on the matter (probably remembering that in her youth she herself was seduced by a dashing buckaneer). Her mother can at least take some comfort in that Millie has in Ozy a very level-headed friend...
BUT!!!!
1) Would Millie pay attention?
2) Would Millie comprehend?
3) Assuming "yes" to the above, would she then have had the following private conversation with Ozy?
Millie: "Um... Ozy. Have you ever wanted to do something really different?"
Ozy: "Yeah, but after living with Dad it's hard to know if anything I'm doing is ordinary or not."
Millie: "Well... yeah, you're right. This is going to sound really lame. How about we play house rules paresi instead?"

You know... Just because they know about it wouldn't mean they'd want to do it... I knew when I was in maternal school (the school you go to between you'er 2 and 6), and I idn't want to do it before I was 18. So, really, even if they know how to have kids, would they /want/ to have kids? Because, at 10, most kids are not really excited or anything, so it wouldn't be for pleasure.
So I can definitely see them know how it goes, but not paying too much attention to that fact.

Agreed that knowing that stuff at that age will probably get the reaction of 'ew, groooooss' rather than 'ooo'.
On the subject of marriage though, it's hard to say. They're still young, so there's still a lot of room for growth and change for the both of them. Honestly, I think if they do marry, it'll be a rather dissapointing thing for the both of them, because they'll have missed out on the adventures of seeing and dating and getting to know other people.
Ozy dating Felicia, for example, would be interesting, given they way she's matured remarkable over the last couple storylines. In fact, at this point, I'd say she's more mature than Millie.

Ozy I could see staying pretty much the same as he is now; he's already highly mature and responsible for his age. Millie would be difficult to predict, but I suspect she'd retain her visionary high-energy persona.
Stephan (no afilliation with me) appears to be the only one seeking a girlfriend, having chased after Felicia, Isolde and Stephanie. I wish I could say he was the more mature...
...
...oh well.

Oh no, Ozy and Millie ships! I'll be different and vote for Millie and Jeremy, or maybe Beau Vine and Ms. Mudd.
I have no opinon on the poll question. At this moment I don't really care. If David ultimately makes a decision on it I'll respect it, anything other than that (yes, even speculation about possible outcomes and psychological probing of characters) is non-canon.

That's pretty much how I feel. Anything we come up with here is pure speculation.[/quote]I have no opinon on the poll question. At this moment I don't really care.
