Anyone who has seen the archives pages on the O&M page will know that there are side pictures on the right of Ozy and Millie, with various modifications to costumes or something. Well, the ones for 2004 aren't up yet, it's just been copied and pasted from 2003. What are your bets for what the archive displays will be for the new and upcoming year?

Perhaps some kind of Pogo reference would be there, although i honestly doubt it. Then again, there has been a C&H reference, and peanuts abounds within the frames, at times. Perhaps a peanuts reference.

I'll go ahead and say my final guess (for this post! ) would be perhaps the two in their winter clothes.

Well, we haven't had a 'cool' or a 'pirates' one yet. I can't really think what it might be, but i get the feeling that those two are certainly way too obvious

A 'cool' one? Would that be Ozy dressed in Aeropostale and Millie in the latest Abercrombie and Fitch? lol. With is being an election year, do you think DCS may go for a political statement, like Dean or Clark? Nah, I don't see DCS going political with the border illustrations. I could see a Peanuts reference. I'd say maybe LOTR, but with the final movie out, that's too timely and late. Harry Potter? Again, perhaps too timely. Music theme, maybe, with Ozy and Millie as rockers (he does have the O&M Axl and Slash pic). I guess we'll have to just wait and see.

I'd like to see them dressed as Mario charecters, that would be cool.

X and Zero! wow! i'd fall over dead from laughing and sheer nostalgic love if that happened! Megaman X was, in my opinion, one of the top ranking side scrollers ever! no matter how you cut it, almost all megaman games are great. I will say, that even though i am almost a die-hard fanatic of the series, i am very dissapointed with MMX7. I don't own a ps2, so i've only played it in stores, but i played enough to realize that it kind of feels, well, unfinished. Enough rambling though!

something relavant to the topic: He has done beatles styled costumes in the past, perhaps something of another band that he admires. Perhaps, even, have them trade clothes with stephan and avery... which for which, well you got me... Millie as stephan, Ozy as Avery. Reasons: 1) Ozy and avery both don't seem to wear pants all to often, Avery more than Ozy. Stephan has those shorts, and millie generally wears her overalls. Plus, the conflicting personalities are kinda funny... Millie obsesing over computers, ozy obsessing over being cool.

Not that that means i own the rights to it i didn't even draw that picture.

A Pogo or Peanuts influence would certainly be great, or maybe even from one of my other favourites as Krazy and Ignatz, perhaps as looney tunes or disney characters, maybe Asterix and Tintin.

Though, Calvin and Hobbes have been done and the theme may feel as a repeat. I haven't thought about this as yet. I'd say opposite character traits but their is that April Fool comic strip in the archives. I'd say a frsh attepmt woul be to make Ozy and Millie as different animals, ones not featured regularly in the comic. Still keeping them to look and feel like themselves would be good challenge i think.

Pogo is a comic strip by Walt Kelly which started in 1948 (i think) and went on until his death in 1973. The strip is set in an imaginary swamp populated with the most diverse and deep characters i've seen in syndicated comics. The comic revolves around Pogo Possum but also features a plethora of Dickensian characters from Albert the crocodile to Churchy LaFemme the turtle and so forth. The comic has influenced many including Bill Watterson and Mr. Simpson too. It's also famous for Kelly's satire and political views which soon turned the comic into a fascinating mix of political and social fable with a satirical and sometimes cynical furry cast, never losing its origins, thus becoming the newspaper comic of the 60's.

I've yet to see a good web site though, so anyone interested should just read the books. After Peanuts it's the comic i most recommend.

loony tunes or disney would go well, i say, but what roles in disney would go with, or exactly contradict, Ozy and Millie? that's the only way it would work, in my belief.
