Re: World Cup 2010
It's worse than that for France, Anelka's been sent home for "insulting behaviour" towards the training staff and now the rest of the team are on strike. That's just what they need. Then again, it'd be hilarious if the French went out at the group stage.

http://blogs.palmbeachpost.com/marlins/2010/06/20/florida-marlins-manager-fredi-gonzalez-umpire-screwed-up-lineup-change-in-9-8-loss/ This better not become a trend, or else I'd strongly recommend going to war with Africa. How dare they ruin the sound of thousands of Americans not cheering? Also, g...

You can't really just "shut down" the internet, China have been trying it for years.

Why were we celebrating the birthday of someone who doesn't even post here anymore?
Especially when the 13th June is Nautica Thorn and Lela Star's birthday!

Re: World Cup 2010
Great, England draw against a country that doesn't even sodding care it's playing.
In case some of you yanks and canuks didn't see the absolute howler of an American goal during yesterday's footingball game against England United;

Re: "Comic Strip Superstar--We Have a Winner!"
Personally I find the whole strip pantsless embarrassingly predictable, probably because I caught this show's matinee when the cast were wearing fursuits and tophats.

Hello? Yes, yes, I'd like to leave a message for the head of the Flying Corps, please. That's Air Chief Marshall Sir Hugh Massingbird-Massingbird, VC, DFC and Bar. Message reads "Where are you you bastard".

Re: UK Election 2010
Honestly, the idea of David Cameron in charge of the UK makes me cringe. But the idea of Nick Clegg jumping into the political bed with him makes me feel sick. I voted for Clegg to keep Cameron out of the office, not to prop him up. A Tory/Lib-Dem coalition, considering their differences, would be a...

Re: Classics you liked (or not)?
Liked: 2001: A Space Odyssey (book) - The book is much better than the film IMO, and explains a lot more about just what the hell happens at the end with all the lights and the space-baby. Half-Life - Remember when an FPS was just mass waves on enemies coming at you with no obvious plot or character...
