all murderers are punished unless they kill in large numbers and to the sound of trumpets.
If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place. (Revelation 2:5, NIV)

Gday Alan
Cheers for the files.
Dan and I had a fairly detailed discussion about the set aesthetic with Zoe the other day, and have almost fully determined what we're going to want for the majority of the set (minor details excluded)
So, looking at your birds eye view diagram.....
The left hand back back wall, including the angled far left side, right up to the edge of the 'balcony' will be lattice (probably normal.....I like crossed but it costs plenty more, so I see), painted white, woven with vines and backed by a plywood (if you've still had no luck with cardboard) wall painted dark green like a hedge or something.
The backing and side wall to the balcony (3 sections: left edge, back wall 60mm from back of stage, right edge and side wall) will be the plywood again, painted a kind of sandstone colour, preferably with a textured feel......apparently that can be achieved with the paint itself.....do you know?
Far side angled section (right side) will be the fake vines with dark green curtain or something to that effect, as though it is the side alley down the edge of the house or something.......ie where in my mind originally the 'house' extended to the right of the stage, we're now imagining it actually goes backwards offstage, as in it is surrounded by garden to some degree.
Bannister for the balcony will at this stage be our laser cutouts with some handrail on top to give it a bit of a 3rd dimension.
All undercovered with a fake grass, and the balcony perhaps with a lino......need to investigate the pricing of that, and more importantly whether it dampens footfall a little.
Think that's about it, that's just to get you up to speed.....Dan and I have been hectically casting, and have had little time to do much about the set, but we'll try and chat a bit today to figure out where to from here.
Little queries etc that I put in here would be awesome if you could investigate ie paint texture, lino pricing, handrail, luck with cardboard etc. Oh, and could you find out about the hard rubbish collections? Check council websites etc perhaps?
Cheers
