Several people are still unable to visit this site because of DNS updating issues. I was able to figure out what the problem was because of the IRC channel.

I think this 'joke' or whatever it was was just not funny, and I feel like jamming the heads of those responsible down the toilet. Just when people complain that DC is going down the drain, you pull this kind of stunt and make it worse. Start acting like responsible admins and not just like a bunch of bored 4channers. And if you can't, just admit you're not up to the job rather than trying to draw attention to yourself in this way - by being obnoxious to the point that nobody can ignore you anymore. Major fail.

I'm seriously thinking of just ditching this site now. I'll be back when it's in capable hands.

Also way to blanket blame every admin as if they have the ability to do that.

I concur that it would have been far better on 1st April. I wonder why baloki couldn't wait for that. Also, it would have been better to retheme the current forums with communism rather than redirect to new ones on slow servers where everyone has to sign up again.

However, it was only for a day, and it was a joke. It could have been more amusing, especially if people had played along better, but it wasn't the horrible disaster that certain members make it out to be.

Again, the big thing here is how it makes the board as a whole look. When a avid reader of Ozy and Millie decides to join the fan forum for the first time, clicks on the link, and gets some "TAI PUT ME TO THIS" page, it is not a good thing.

And frankly, an O&M reader couldn't care less about whatever board forum member politics are going on. I'm disappointed that the main theme of this board -- Ozy and Millie and discussions of DCS's work therein -- got usurped because some forum members thoughtlessly hacked it for the sake of a silly joke on each other.

First of all, it was the person who hosts the site who did it, not any of the members. (Well he is a member; but you get what I am saying.) Nobody hacked the site.

Secondly, the "main theme" is not O&M. This is just a site for fans of the comic, or in some cases, former fans. We have a section for talking about it, and people generally keep on topic there. Although tangents can sometimes happen.
