BSP has brought up the idea of making a "World Events" forum, were you'd discuss.....wait, let me think about that one..... Oh! World Events!

So do you guys think this is a good idea? Would you use it? I think it'd be good, it might spark some interesting debates (as long as they don't get too violent :P).

Cast your vote!

Couldn't we just use the "Anything" forum for that sort of thing?

If you've done things right, people won't be sure if you've done anything at all.

The problem I see here is that World/curent events aren't realy a big deal but people are very opinonated and stuborn about them. I think it may brign conflict where people won't want any/ Of coure it can be their option to stay away. I'm plaining on staying away but I have no objection. Unfortonatly I would probably be draged in eventuly. I abstain.

Sure, I need a place to blab about world events, none of the other forums I populate have one.

From what I've seen, we're all mature enough to discuss current/world events without flaming one another for our opinions. While calling anything on this board 'mature' is reaching, I don't recall anyone ever flaming anyone else, we all get along pretty well enough to discuss events without wringing each other's throats. We're not gonna go Bill O'Reily style on this board.

The closest I've ever seen people flaming each other are the times members tried setting each other on fire. I am sure no matter what happens, people will discuss topics about what they want to say.

There is of course a set of new rules for it you'll have to think up.

The forum software isn't co-operating right now so I guess it'll have to wait.
