Steinbrenner Dies at 80

For those of you who follow baseball, you know him, and might even hate him, or at least what he represented, the evil empire. I can't say I was very fond of him personally; but I respected him at least, as an historic figure of baseball, as well as a quietly philanthropic figure. Anyway, this might not really qualify as "world" news; but I think it is an important event, at least in the US.

I hear there's a lot of people who'll be glad to see the back of him - when they had to, up until now, make do with whenever George Costanza went to meet him.
