This entire forum has always loved John Lennon and his many wonderful songs. I remember when Ibun and Loeln met up and recorded themselves singing Imagine, posting it on YouTube. Fun times.

But seriously, I think he could make good songs when he concentrated on the music. Still not my favourite Beatle though.

John Lennon was quite a good musician. I agree with Jack that George Harrison was better, so this thread is really about him.

Josh Woodward, Ohio Singer/Songwriter, offers his songs for free. Give him a listen.

His and his bandmates influence on pop, rock, and just about every other genre of music has helped shape the world and it's view on song, dance, and life and love. <3

I do love George, but he's probably my least favorite of the group. He was the most talented on his instrument, but he couldn't sing terribly well or write as good songs as John/Paul. Plus, he didn't really have any stage presence and just seemed kinda boring to me. Still a great musician, just didn't have the impact and influence of John IMO.

And don't even get me started on Paul or Ringo...

You gotta love Ringo. He had the balls to rock the pink on the cover of Sgt. Peppers.

ringo is the only one who never came across as an arrogant douchebag to me. also he apparently walked out on some buddist thing cause the food sucked. thats like, instant win with me. also narrating thomas the tank engine, one of my preferred childhood shows...further win.

Never ever say that to me again. If you do I won't be held responsible for my actions.

Who sleeps shall awake, looking through the window of our lives
Waiting for the moment to arrive...
Show us the silence in the rise,
So that we may someday understand...

Woman is the nigger of the world
Yes she is... think about it
Woman is the nigger of the world
Think about it... do something about it

We make her paint her face and dance
If she won’t be slave, we say that she don’t love us
If she’s real, we say she’s trying to be a man
While putting her down we pretend that she is above us

Woman is the nigger of the world...yes she is
If you don’t believe me take a look to the one you’re with
Woman is the slaves of the slaves
Ah yeah... better scream about it

We make her bear and raise our children
And then we leave her flat for being a fat old mother then
We tell her home is the only place she would be
Then we complain that she’s too unworldly to be our friend

Woman is the nigger of the world... yes she is
If you don’t believe me take a look to the one you’re with
Woman is the slaves of the slaves
Yeah (think about it)

We insult her everyday on TV
And wonder why she has no guts or confidence
When she’s young we kill her will to be free
While telling her not to be so smart we put her down for being so dumb

Woman is the nigger of the world... yes she is
If you don’t believe me take a look to the one you’re with
Woman is the slaves of the slaves
Yes she is... if you believe me, you better scream about it.

We make her paint her face and dance
We make her paint her face and dance
We make her paint her face and dance

Looks like we have a contender for 'most ignorant post of the day'.

He blossomed later than John/Paul in my opinion. Quality of voice means little to me and personally I find he did write as good or better songs as them. He was reserved I'd say, he didn't tour or release much for more than a decade or longer from what I remember.
