That is really pretty, and it's triggering some memories, but I can't place it. Drat.

"Sky is Over" by Serj Tankian. Nice song.

This one's from an anime, but I think it's popular enough to be recognizable. This time you just get the chords.

Code: Select all

Bb - F - | Gm - Dm/F - | Eb - Bb/D - | Cm7 - F7sus4 - | Bb - F - | Gm - Dm/F - | Eb - Bm/D - | Cm7 F7sus4 Bb - |

Correct Doc! I haven't given yours a shot yet since chords are not my forte.

(PS I know the rest of the song so if you want it PM me)

Well, I've tried and can't figure that one out. It's hard when I don't know the strumming pattern (and I don't know anime lol).

Edit: Can I get a hint if this is for guitar or piano?

OK. pants it. I lied. It's drum and bass. What you gonna do?

It's for piano. I'll post the actual sheet music when I get to work, if nobody has the answer by then.

I have a couple thoughts on it floating around, which is why I asked. When I see the sheet music I'll know if I was right.

Please note that both hands are in the bass clef! I did not write this particular version of it (I am having trouble getting Forte working on my work computer).

Hint: It shares its name (and nothing else, really) with a Bach piece.

I didn't feel like taking out my piano so I kind of cheated and put that into the finale notepad. I still don't recognize it. Sounds great though.

Yeah, played it through and I was wrong. Oh well. I suppose I could cheat by googling all the Bach pieces I know and seeing if any anime-related results come up but...

I'm officially stumped.

It's "Komm, süßer Tod" (Come, Sweet Death) from The End of Evangelion. Look it up on youtube. It's an amazingly cool song. It's one of those songs that sounds all happy and upbeat until you listen to the lyrics and realize that it's about suicide. And for even MORE awesome juxtaposition, the song is playing while THE WORLD IS ENDING.
