Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Even though this hardly relates to Australia or anything, I think this may just spark other people around the world to get some bad ideas. I just heard the guy on the radio ask what actor we'd like to see as the Australian Prime Minister. Not even our current PM would be as bad as someone like Steve Irwin. I don't want our national anthem to contain the word "crikey" on every line.

I'll never see Terminator the same way again.
He was born in austria so he can't run for president.

What worries me most about Arnold getting elected is the way he ran his campaign, which was way too vague and mostly consisted of him saying "I know what to do, trust me". While it's unlikely that he will do something to break the trust of the people, it sets a dangerous precedent that could put someone even worse than Dubya in office.
The fact that worries me the most is that Ahnold beat out real politicons to get this far. Then again, so did Ronald Reagan. In fact, Ohio.com (I'm not making this up. Ohio has it's own web site.) did a nice list of other actors who became involved in politics.

Jesse Ventura, anyone?
Yay 5hfifty! We're both in Australia! Now we can complain about John Howard together.. Aww, it warms my heart just thinking of it.

But back to the topic at hand... It kinda freaks me out that Arnold has risen to his current place.. but what's the worst that could happen?

The mind boggles at the possibilities. More mind boggling is the fact that i'm posting this at almost 2am on a tuesday.
Hehehehe, yes, Ahnold as governor was very... interesting...
Although, try and tell me that you wouldn't have voted for him! You know you would have!
It's going to be way to easy for shows such as Air Farce to ridicule him. "So, how do you feel now that you're governor of California?", "RAARGHH!!!". And it's not like we take him seriously enough now!
Well just remember, he did win by about 1 million votes, so someone had to think this was a good idea. Here's just a random image I did for Fark.com on one of there photoshop contests, enjoy!
