Porcupine Tree

Postby Arloest » Thu Jan 15, 2009 8:38 am

Use this thread to discuss the magnificence that is Steven Wilson and Porcupine Tree.

Or if you're a LOSER and have never heard of this band, use this thread to discuss porcupines and/or trees.

P.S.: This is Porcupine Tree performing their song Trains: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vtvBCzYr ... re=related

Probably their most well-known song but WHATEV, it happens to be one of my favorites.
Who sleeps shall awake, greeting the shadows from the sun
Who sleeps shall awake, looking through the window of our lives
Waiting for the moment to arrive...
Show us the silence in the rise,
So that we may someday understand...

In Absentia is still my favorite album by them. The Sound of Muzak obviously speaks volumes to me, though it is by no means the only song that does so by them, on this or any album.

I got to see them live once, it was pantsless unbelievable how awesome it was. If you have the DVD that's pretty much the same exact set that they played.

I hope they come back sometime, I'll have to drag Ben along despite his insistence that he's "not into music" that much.

Porcupines don't grow on trees, you silly roadrunner.

They're okay. Here's a porcupine in a tree.

Anything pertaining to porcupines and/or trees is on topic. My parents were both killed by trees.

Muffin Sticks is secretly a superhero, Treeman! his parents were killed by trees. He scrounges all the money he gets from selling drugs to kids, and uses it to buy technology to trap bad guys. like, an iPod. I don't know how that helps, but last time I asked, he yelled and threw hypodermic needles at me.
