I think you're just not used to seeing the style in color, which seems to call more attention to the differences. Or maybe it really is more different and I haven't noticed.

@Pete: Characters in O&M typically use "naked" to mean "not wearing clothes." DCS herself has repeatedly used it in reference to Timulty's default appearance. The one arguable exception I can think of is when Millie said that shaven Ozy, while wearing a hat and vest, was "basically naked."

Some people might like seeing Millie with no clothes on because she looks more animal that way, and thus cuddlier. Others are being perverse about it, possibly not so much for the way she looks as for her personality.

Whatever. Derailment is still perfectly acceptable and par for the course here, just as it was in Ye Olde Days. Actually I've had the same problem; with a few exceptions, most of my comic strip ideas haven't lasted beyond a few pages before running out of material. I can think of nine abandoned projects just off the top of my head.

Well, I mean, that's only my newer stuff. My oldest "modern" comic (i.e. ones that I didn't do before 8th grade--because I did a LOT of ones before 8th grade that I just remembered about) lasted for 50 someodd issues before I abandoned it for being just outright bad. It wasn't a lack of ideas. My newer comics, though, that was one of the main problems (the other being the aforementioned time it takes to produce quality art--one comic took me two weeks to complete. Most took two days. My current wall with all my art is to do good inking in a reasonable amount of time. Aaaargh!)

Ah damn, why didn't I check back here sooner. I would have if I had known this would be the last(?) strip. Still, I like this ending. I do find it a little odd though that Ozy would wear a full set of pajamas to bed. It's just weird seeing him in pants of any kind (and this sentence seems rife with possible innuendo). Moving on, I really should check back here more often, I miss stuff. And I think I see a noticeable change in the drawing style too. It just looks different somehow (disregarding color). Whatever, it's been a fun couple of years. I can live with this ending.
