Lulu has reduced shipping costs for European countries

Postby Novil Ariandis » Wed May 02, 2007 6:43 pm

Lulu has reduced shipping costs for many European countries (*) to

€1.99 (£1.50) for 1 article
€2.99 (£2.00) for 2 articles
€3.99 (£2.50) for 3 articles

They say, the offer is limited from 27.04.07 to 27.07.07. So, if you still have some "Ozy and Millie" books to get, this should be a good opportunity.

Good news for the European fans. I only wish I knew how it'll affect DCS's profits.

FWIW, Novil, some English place name translations:

Lettland = Latvia
Litauen = Lithuania
Slowakei = Slovakia

You got the rest right.

Not. D. C. Simpson's profit should be totally independent thereof Lulu decides to make a shipping offer. Lulu works that way, that an author adds some money to the base price of the book. Shipping is Lulu's stuff.

In that case, DCS should see more money from it due to more sales.

Just give it a try. You can see the shipping costs before finally completing the buy.

Meh, I'd just lose the bloody thing if I bought one anyways. That, and my monitary situation doesn't allow for splurges...

Tragic.

That's good, I hadn't heard about it. Last book I bought was Tofu Knights, I already have the Plan9 books so I was waiting until the next completely new book before buying the rereleased ones. Maybe I'll buy them now instead.

I already have all 5 new books. I only benefitted from the cheap shipment for Perpetual Motion... and maybe Closer to the Void if it's released soon.

I ordered Tofu Knights about a week since and the postage cut counted for the UK, too. Just a heads up to anyone who's interested but not 'checked out' yet :)
