Re: Friday, January 5, 2001: Paralyzed
Actually, I really like the payoff on this one, and it's a one-strip visual gag. Most of these seem to wind up with entire arcs dedicated to them, which drags on way too long.

Thursday, January 4, 2001: The silliness thresshold
I wish the only dialogue in this was 'Hey, Millie'. This is such a wonderfully goofy visual gag, the talking kind of ruins the pacing.

Millie. Millie why do you need something to hide small children in? What are you doing, Millie? Are you sure it's legal?

I really love how Millie's just pointedly avoiding looking at him.

http://www.ozyandmillie.org/comics/om20001231.jpg Now see, if you're gonna do a politically-bent strip but you want it to ever be relevant for more than the immediate future, this is how you do it. Something non-specific, that could apply to any side of any group of politicians at any point in time...

Re: Friday, December 29, 2000: Define "cynical"
I remember being amused by this when I first saw it, and it's still a nice, pithy joke (as opposed to DCS' normal propensity to waste three panels on setup).
But now I look at this and all I can see is that chair....

I dunno. I always felt the post-Christmas blues were mitigated by still having about a week of vacation left afterward.
I love the stuffed animals in Panel 4, they're giving Millie such a confused, terrified look.
