Re: The Great O&M ReReading Exploratory Committee
And despite all that, there will still be webcomics! We might possibly be able to do about a week of comics at a time, so it won't take us ten years to go through them. It would kind of betray the illusion of going back in time and reading the strip as it's released, but it would expedite the explor...

Re: Thursday, April 30, 1998: Enter Millie
I do like the touch that her overalls give her, kind of a tomboyish look. I sure hope she never devolves into wearing a dress. Only complaint I really have is that the walking and some of the poses look kind of awkward, but I'm sure that gets better with time and practice. Regardless, this is quite ...

That... sounds like a fantastic idea for some kind of parody of a dystopian society.

I think it's actually handwritten.

Re: Wednesday, April 29, 1998 - Nothing rhymes with "Ozymandias"
I dunno about the rest of you guys, but if I ever wanted to do a rhyming scheme with somebody's name, I'd usually have it thought out before I ran up and made an ass out of myself. Silly squirrels! British? But Ozymandias was [s]a super hero who decided to save the world by bio-engineering a giant s...

Re: 20/12/2009
And many real people are tomboys in their youth and grow up never wanting to wear a dress. Myself, for instance; the last time I wore a dress was to my high school's equivalent of prom, and I was quite irate about it (even moreso when my other female friend showed up wearing a tuxedo , brilliant ide...

Re: 20/12/2009
My only question is where, exactly, is Ozy looking...? At Millie? Ahead of Millie? Up her skirt? At nothing? Where are his eyes focused, I honestly can't tell.

Re: The Great O&M ReReading Exploratory Committee
I haven't actually read O&M in its entirety, just a few strips here and there, and the final arcs (graduation party and the wedding). I'm interested in doing an archive run, but it's pretty imposing so I've been putting it off. If there's a forum exploration committee (so to speak) to do so, though,...

Re: Saturday, November 28, 2009: "Control"
This is a bit late on the ball, but I watched "UP" the other night, and there are dogs in the movie that are disturbingly like the dogs that RD first meets. In the movie, the top dog was also called "Alpha." I wonder if there's a connection. I do believe when the pack was first introduced there wer...

Re: Saturday, November 28, 2009: "Control"
I didn't know the "deer in headlights" effect also applied to dogs. :o she's a very dumb dog. I personally thought that there was some mind control involved since that was the first panel that caught my attention. Thought Alpha was going to reveal that he had psychic powers and that was how he cont...

Saturday, November 28, 2009: "Control"
It says Saturday, but I checked RD yesterday and there sure as hell wasn't anything new there, so somebody's lyin' to me.

Re: Bluedogs
Actually, I'm pretty certain they can. If you have 'pre-existing conditions' (diabetic, genetic disorders, even high-danger jobs) insurance companies reserve the right to refuse service to anybody, for any reason. (Really, most private institutions reserve the right to refuse service to anybody, for...

Pretty sure that happened already, and it hasn't done much for the comic.Ugh well, Raine Dog is so messed up there is ONLY one way to fix her!
